As I write this, January 2021 is coming to an end. At this point, the United States has gone through an insurrection at the Capitol, the inauguration of some new leadership in the White House, and more time in quarantine with a slow rollout of vaccines. Plus, a winter storm is approaching my area, so there’s that.
Personally, this month has provided me with a whirlwind of emotions. Those emotions have forced me to abruptly halt all my plans for the beginning of the year. I needed the time to calm down and sort through my thoughts, and, of course, music was great at keeping me company during that time.
R&B has had my heart lately, so this short playlist is R&B based, with a rap verse somewhere in the middle of it. It’s a cool and calm, yet rhythmic, playlist that has a partially sensual, partially introspective vibe to last you for the rest of the winter months.
